Each Sunday we worship in the spirit of God's encompassing love and forgiveness, available to all people. It is in this spirit that we welcome all persons to our fellowship. As we worship together, we hope all hearts and minds will open to the spirit of God's grace, love, and forgiveness that comes through Word and Sacrament. In accepting God's love and forgiveness, we join together around God's Table of Grace as one people, each week, receiving God's all embracing love for us. You are invited to join us for this feast of love -- Holy Communion.
On Sunday mornings, we worship at two different times, with two different liturgies. At our 8:00 worship, we worship with the traditional Lutheran liturgy and hymns from the Evangelical Lutheran Worship book. At our 10:30 worship, our liturgy (responsive readings and prayers) is more informal and directed to the progressive/emergent style, related to the scriptural theme of the day. Most of our hymns and music at our 10:30 worship are currently from the Convergence Music Project which has an emphasis on lifting up the theme of creating a more "just and generous Christianity". We use a "worshipper friendly" bulletin, with most of the service printed, to ensure that all worshippers feel comfortable with our liturgy and order of service, whichever service you are a part of on a given Sunday.
What to expect if you worship with us... If you worship with us, at either service, you wil experience a small number of people at either service. We are structured, for worship, service, and fellowship in a relational understanding of church. With two worship services averaging around 30 - 40 at each service, we have the opportunity to meet new people, get to know everyone in a more relational way, and be better organized for service, outreach, and fellowship. You will experience all age groups at Epiphany, with all ages participating in the leadership of worship. At both services, you will experience different styles of clothing comfort that helps us to live out the congregational value of "individuality." Epiphany has become known as a place of relational comfort and peace with God and other worshippers.
If you choose to visit us, you are encouraged to visit with us for at least 4 - 6 weeks in order to have a clearer undersanding of who we are and how we seek to change our corner of the world. We believe Epiphany is a different church for a different world.
